The story is a good example of thousands of new Chinese entrepreneurs after China's open policy in 1978.

In 1962Mr Lianguo Xu was born in a peasant's family in Jiansu province in East China. From early childhoodhe is highly interested in tinkering with mechanical stuff. After high schoolhe apprenticed himself to a factory for several years. Then with RMB600 investmenthe opened a motorcycle repair shop with his second brother in 1981. Without any specialized training he learnt quickly with great talents and enthusiasm. His small shop soon turned into a lucrative business and his name became so well known that one day the leader of his hometown came to invite him to salvage a local auto plant.

But this time without full understanding of the industryhe failed quickly and completelynot only giving away the 280,000 profit he earned from his former businessbut also losing his second brother in an accident. Yet this was only the beginning of the nightmare. Under heavey debt loadhe took severaljobs at the same time, like truck driverdriving instructoretc. But unfortunately during a clothes delivery tripall the goods were damaged due to leaks in his truck. This time, he lost RMB80000and the truck was detained for over a week. Meanwhile his driving school was also suspended without solid reasons. His heavy debt soon sank himself into economic litigation he was detained for 6 months during which he suffered greatly and both legs nearly paralyzed...

After big ups and downs in his first 10 years entrepreneurial career at the age of 27to many peoples' surprise, Mr Xu stood up again. Thiis timeafter thorough thinkingreadingand further understanding of the market and technologyhe quickly spotted the big gap in China's auto repair market for luxury cars. The major reason was that most repair shops could not afford to buy a spray and bake booth. At that timeall the booths were imported and priced up to RMB500,000. Mr Xu was thinking of building one for himself.

Without much assistance from the government, schools or librarieshe visited experts all over the country. After consistent efforts finally he and his third brother invented the first Chinese-made Spray BoothThe third brother is currently the President of Zonda.

After fully digesting foreign technologythe redesigned product was even better than any other brand in the market. At that time there was an Auto Tech Exhibition in Nanjing but the cost was over RMB30,000. The brothers hesitated and eventually ventured to invest all they had to attend it. Fortunately, the result was 2 million orders. From this turning pointZonda began its long lasting success story and grows into the corporate we introduced before.

Mr. Xu experienced ups and downsopportunities and challengesgot through all sorts of adversities and finally succeeded. His spirit and perseverance have laid down the foundation of Zonda's corporate culture. Today Zonda is firmly heading towards its corporate goal under both brothers' leadership.
